Kevin T. Carter, CHA
Airlie Center
Currently and for the last seven years serving as the General Manager of the Airlie Center, Kevin has over 26 years of experience in the Hotel Business. Many recognize Kevin as a turn around expert in his field. One portion of Kevin’s expertise, however, that is not widely understood is his involvement and passion for ecology and conservation.
Kevin is an active member of numerous community organizations, including the Warrenton, Virginia Rotary Club where he serves as President; the Fauquier Chamber of Commerce; and the St. James School Board’s Treasurer.
Various hospitality related organizations that Kevin is actively involved in include the IACC Green Task Force of eight members who have the experience and passion for environmental issues and provide resources for IACC members to develop their own green programs. He has also served on the Green Meetings Industry Council Annual Meeting planning committee. GMIC is an organization that provides the development and dissemination of resources and opportunities to improve the environmental performance of meetings and events. Kevin also belongs to the American Hotel & Lodging Association and Chaine de Rotisseurs and is on the Board of Directors of The Southern Innkeepers Association and served as a judge of the IMEX Awards for the past two years.
